William F. Ginty 1935-2022

William F. Ginty, 87, passed away on December 23, 2022. Born November 5, 1935, the son of the late Charles and Eva (Lutters) Ginty.

Most of his life was spent in Meriden. He was an avid sports fan, but baseball was his true passion. He could always be found at a baseball game, whether it was at high school state tournaments or Legion baseball. He enjoyed going to his grandnephew’s baseball games from Little League through Legion. He was a talented artist creating family heirlooms of Christmas scenes on slate and nature scenes on antique saws. He loved Big Band music and played the snare drum. He found peace in nature and would take daily walks in CT parks.

He is survived by his brother Thomas Ginty and his wife Christine of Union SC, sister-in-law Judith Ginty of Meriden and his nephews John Ginty Jr and Thomas Ginty Jr, nieces Melanie Sexton and Michelle Eastham, along with several great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his two brothers Charles Ginty and John Ginty Sr. both of Meriden.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 17th at 8:30am at St Rose Church (Chapel), Meriden. Internment immediately following at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
