Timothy Daubert 1961-2019

Updated: Jan 27, 2022

Timothy Patrick Daubert, 58, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2019 in Middletown. Timothy was born and raised in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School in 1979 and attended Johnson and Wales University graduating with a BA. Timothy was a Veteran of the US Army assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell KY as a Unit Supply Specialist and attained the rank of Sergeant and was Honorably discharged in 1989.

Timothy was proud of his participation in the Danbury High School Football team where he had the best of times. Tim served a lifetime of public service to his community and to those in need. As a youth, he mowed lawns for Danbury P&R and was a lifeguard at Candlewood Lake for many summers. During that time he was also an active participant at the endless weekend keg parties where lifelong friends, memories and many of life's lessons were learned.

Timothy's professional career started as a Counselor with the State of Ct, Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown until its closing and then transferred to CT Valley Hospital in Middletown, where he retired a few years ago. His most recent job was with Catholic Diocese of Norwich assisting the homeless and people in need in the Middletown region. Tim was a regular participant in community activities at the Middletown YMCA and was a great friend and helping hand to many.

Timothy also enjoyed time to himself, a good book, music, the outdoors, and was very proud of his Irish heritage. You could always count on Tim's quick wit, life’s stories and sense of humor to fill the room. When things were tough you could always count on Tim to appear by your side with a smile on his face when you needed it most and when you least expected it. Tim enjoyed playing the part of Santa Claus and growing his beard during the holiday season and loved children.

Timothy never married and was proceeded by his mother Eileen McGrath, father Robert Jr, Grandmother Bessy and Aunt Elizabeth Daubert who raised him and his brothers in Danbury. He is survived by his three brothers, Michael, Patrick and Robert Daubert. Patrick's wife Nola and their two children Eryn and Sean. Michael’s children Christopher and Michael Jr. and Robert’s son Jonathan.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday January 4th at 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury, Ct. followed by burial services with military honors at St. Peters Cemetery, Lake Ave Extension, Danbury Ct. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Timothy’s memory to the Middlesex YMCA, 99 Union St. Middletown, Ct 06457.
