Thomas J. Butcher 1959-2021

On Sunday, August 15th, Thomas J. Butcher, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age 61. He was born on December 12, 1959 to his parents John Butcher and Mary-Lou VanCleve. He married his wife, Diane, on October 23, 1987 and is survived by his two children, Zachery and Samantha with husband Nicholas, two grandchildren Avery and Logan, his brother Greg and wife Colleen, his sister Barbara and husband Michael, as well numerous other family members and friends.

Tom never met a stranger in his entire life. He only ever met new friends, fishing buddies, and fellow footballs fans. He was rarely found far from his grill or kitchen, and no one ever went home hungry. Tom’s proudest achievement in his life was his family and was a loving father and an amazing grandfather. He loved to go camping, enjoy sitting around the campfire, and tossing the ball with his dog Jerry. Tom was a lifelong Chief’s fan, loved to go skiing, and was always down for a drive around the reservoir.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 16th at Nickerson Park Family Campground in Chaplin. All are welcome to come and celebrate the amazing life of Thomas and the influence he had over everyone’s lives. Details to follow.
