Santina Bonfiglio Fusco

In Memoriam of Santina Bonfiglio Fusco

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Santina Fusco, a devoted mother, loving grandmother, and cherished friend, who departed on March 7, 2025. Santina passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love.

Santina was born on March 28, 1929, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Guiseppe and Antonia Bonfigilo. As the eldest of three children, Santina demonstrated a natural sense of responsibility and leadership from a young age. She was preceded in death by her brother Harris Bonfigilo and George Fusco Sr. She is survived by her three loving children: Christina Fusco (Yvonne), George Fusco (Deanna), and Joseph Fusco (Michelle), as well as three grandchildren: Michael Fusco, John Fusco, and Brianna Aubrey. Additionally, she leaves behind her loving brother Ralph Bonfigilo along with nieces and nephews.

Santina was a dedicated mother who consistently spread love, laughter, and stories about her life. She treasured every moment spent with her family and children, providing encouragement, wisdom, and love. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she adored her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Nonnie."

Santina possessed a zest for life that extended beyond her professional pursuits. She was an avid dancer, enjoyed various types of music, and often found solace in crocheting beautiful dresses for her dolls. She loved playing bingo and having coffee with her friends. As a devoted Catholic, she found peace within her parish community. She was fortunate to reside at The Jerome Home in New Britain during her final years, where she made numerous friends and brought joy to all who met her. We extend our gratitude to The Jerome Home for their unwavering support and kindness in caring for her.

Santina's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. Her memory will forever be cherished. Rest in peace, Mom. You will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of Santina’s life will be held on April 5, 2025, at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and friends will gather to honor her memories and share stories. A graveside service will commence at 11:00 am at 280 Derby Ave, West Haven, CT 06516.
