Ronald (Ron) Thomas Wojcik of Norwich, CT passed away on Feb 1, 2024 at age 74 due to a brief illness. He was born to Rita and Frederick Wojcik in 1949. After high school, he served in the Navy during the Vietnam War traveling the world on the USS Rush. He had a strong work ethic during his 40+ years as a mechanic, and was known as the automotive expert fixing countless family and friends’ cars over the years. His hobbies included puttering in the garage, teaching his daughters and others about cars, watching sports, snowmobiling, music, grilling, and a brief stint playing the accordion. Ron was not fortunate to know his father for long but grew up to be a selfless, proud and supportive dad who provided love, strength, and independence to his girls. A family man up until the day he passed, Ron devoted much of his life taking care of his mother. He leaves behind daughters Heather Wojcik, Laura Burkhalter (Wojcik), and Lindsey Wojcik, his mom Rita Preble, brother Daniel Wojcik, grandchildren Elizabeth and Zachary, an aunt, and many cousins. Rest in Peace to the man who led us the way, you are loved and truly missed. There will be no calling hours and a celebration of life will be held privately.
