Rogelio Valentin 1960-2022

Rogelio (Tony) Valentin of Meriden passed away on May 12, 2022 at the age of 61 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was the blessed significant other of Jessica Kimball. Tony was born in Meriden on August 4, 1960 to Mary Valentin and the late Jose Valentin Sr. Tony was a strong, determined, hardworking and loving man. He was a free soul who liked to pave his own path. Despite the trials and tribulations he faced, he always persevered. He was a phenomenal father, leaving behind endless lessons of life and love to his five children. Tony was a family man, sharing and making fond memories with his loved ones until his very last day. His love for auto-body, cars, motorcycles and traveling lives on through his family and friends.

He will be remembered as the strong, resilient, loving man we all grew to know him as, making jokes and laughing until the very end. Aside from his Mother and Jessica, Tony is survived by his children Michael, Lauren, Erica, Brendan & Matthew; his grandchildren Nathaniel and Oaklynn; his sisters Dawn, Mona, Lisa and Marylee; his former wife Janet; a very large extended family, great friend James Smith, and his very best childhood friend, Doug Dudley.

Aside from his Father, Tony was preceded by his brother, Jose (Jock/Jody) Valentin Jr. A celebration of life will be held in August, family to provide more information at a later date.

I miss you baby so much. I just hope this heartache and feeling of a piece of me (you) missing will get easier to cope with. You are my best friend and soulmate forever. Until we meet again in heaven, I love you. ❤️
