Robert John Spina Sr. 79 of New Haven passed away peacefully at home
surrounded by his family on July 31,2020.
He was born in New Haven to the late Louise Perricone Spina and Matthew Spina. He was predeceased by his sister Lorine Stevens of Guilford. Robert is survived by his wife Audrey(Kersten)Spina of 57 years and his children, Robert T. Spina of New Haven, Lisa Pelletier (Ricky) of Meriden, Harold Spina (Elizabeth) of Wallingford, Robert(Booboo) Spina Jr. (Larae) of Wallingford and Audra Spina of Derby. Robert also is survived by his brother
Junior (Matthew) Spina (Diane) of Ocala Florida, sister in law Claudia Kersten (Thomas) Surina of Sanford Florida and brother in law Arthur Stevens of Guilford.
Robert is also survived by his 7 grandchildren (Laura(Chris), Anthony(Jeanie),
Rachael, Ania, Nicholas, Katelynn and Kendra )and 4 great grandchildren (Jayda,
Allie, Violet and Robert) whom he adored and many nieces and nephews. Robert
was a construction inspector for many years for the New Haven Testing
Laboratory and for Materials Testing. He was a life long resident of New Haven
and served in the U.S. Navy. He was known as being an extremely hard worker
and enjoyed time with his family. His cooking especially during the holidays will be
greatly missed.
