Paul Douglas Sheldon, 55, of Tolland, CT passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday, September 20th, 2018.
Paul was born on November 29th, 1962 in Hartford, CT and grew up in East Hartford where he graduated from George J. Penney High School, class of 1980. Following graduation, Paul honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1981-1985.
Paul worked as a laborer most of his life through various construction, paving, and painting jobs. He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing at the lake, and rooting for the Boston Red Sox. A particular highlight in his life was time spent with his 4-legged “son” Mocha.
Paul will be dearly missed by his daughter Nicole Sheldon and her fiance Evan Archambault of East Hartford, CT; his mother Virginia Guedesse of East Hartford, CT; his sister Christina Sheldon and her partner Alan Richards of Houston, TX; his brother Mark Sheldon and his partner Dianne Anderson of East Hartford, CT; his brother Francis Sheldon of East Hartford, CT; his brother Robin Sheldon and partner Leslie Hartl of Bolton, CT; and his brother Paul Darwin Sheldon and wife Sarah. Paul is also survived by his Aunt and Uncle, Michelle and Daniel Camarco, and their son Joshua. Several cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends who had the opportunity to enjoy Paul’s big personality and humor will miss him as well.
Paul is predeceased by his father, Paul Sheldon; maternal grandparents Virginia and Albert Clark and paternal grandparents Agnes and Alfred Sheldon.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a ‘Celebration of Life’ on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm. The celebration will be held at Saint Christopher’s Parish Hall, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford, CT 06118.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Paul’s honor can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
