Odilia “Dee” (Pereira) Beaulieu, 70, of Cromwell CT died suddenly at home on May 15, 2019. Odilia was born on January 27, 1949 in Sao Miguel Island of the Azores, Portugal, daughter of the late Manuel and Emilia (Ferreira) Pereira. Odilia came to the United States of America when she was 9 years old and became a naturalized citizen on November 9, 1966. She was married on July 8, 1967 in Hartford, CT to Roger D. Beaulieu Sr., together they settled in Middletown then Cromwell, CT. They were happily married for 49 years and raised 3 children. Her late husband Roger D. Beaulieu, Sr. died in 2015.
Odilia was a long-time manager at Kmart for 20+ years until she retired to take care of her grandchildren, they were her life. Odilia enjoyed camping, gardening and most of all spending time with her family. She was fiercely devoted to her family and adored her grandchildren along with her two dogs Patches and Bella.
Odilia leaves her three children, Roger Beaulieu Jr and his wife Cathy of Cromwell, Tim Beaulieu of Cromwell and Kim Hinds and her husband Don of Cromwell. Together she leaves 4 grandchildren, Brandon Hinds and his fiancé Chelsea of East Hampton, Tyler Beaulieu of Cromwell and Lillian and Joshua Beaulieu of Cromwell. She also leaves her two brothers, Lenny Pereira and his wife Pauline of New Port Richie, FL and Joe Pereira and his wife Linda of Newington, CT. She was well loved by so many and will be dearly missed but she will now be in the eternal life with her love of her life and soul-mate, her husband Roger.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 10:00am at St Johns Church in Cromwell CT for a Christian Memorial Mass.
