July 24,1963 – February 21, 2025
Michael Hobert, formerly of Holyoke, MA, passed away suddenly on February
21st in Ledyard, CT. He was the son of the late John Hobert & Rosemary
(Hobert) Moriarty. He was a 1981 graduate of Holyoke High School where he
excelled in tennis, and North Adams State College. Michael was an avid
sports fan and loved all Boston sports. Michael leaves behind his sisters Kathy
(John) Hewes, and Marikate (Dave) Lynch and his brothers Bill (Nancy) Hobert,
John (Debbie) Hobert, Dan (Karen) Hobert, Gary (Amy) Hobert, Thomas
(Sarah) Moriarty, and sister-in-law Tori Hobert as well as several nieces and
nephews, and his large loving circle of family and friends. Michael was pre-
deceased by his brothers Rick and Joe Hobert. A Celebration of Life will be
held on February 28th from 4-7pm at Pic’s Pub and Pizzeria in Holyoke, MA.
