Mary-Ellen Bill of 28 Miller Rd. Chaplin passed away Jan. 31, 2025 after a short illness. She was born May 8, 1947 to her late parents Ellsworth and Frances Stearns of Mansfield CT. She worked for the state of CT in Storrs CT as a lead housekeeper for years. She was predeceased by a brother Gordan Adams and sisters Martha Baker and Cynthia Milhomme. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Dimmock and Tiffany Bill and sons Leon Hemingway and Roger Hemingway and his wife Victoria. Mary-Ellen was also survived by her brothers, Donald Adams and Jared Stearns and sister Willimina Williams. She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchild. Mary-Ellen was a huge part of all our lives and will be missed more than words could ever say.
There will be no calling hours but there will be a celebration of life. We are respecting her wishes in doing things this way. She would have wanted people smiling and telling stories instead of crying. The celebration of life will be on June 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the French club in North Windham, CT.
