Marilyn Jean Schwartz Boschert (Peggy)




Marilyn Jean Schwartz Boschert (Peggy), 89, of Meriden, Connecticut, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Complete Care, Meriden, CT shortly after a hip fracture that led to hospitalization and rehabilitation.  She was surrounded by family and friends daily in the weeks leading to her death. Born on January 29, 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the oldest daughter of the late Robert and Veronica Agnes Marinchocki Schwartz.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister: Robert John Schwartz and Joan Elizabeth Ann Schwartz Norman; husband of 55 years, Ralph George Boschert; and son Philip Ralph Boschert.She is survived by her daughters Donna Corich and her husband, Albert (Al) of Buda, TX; and Linda Langley and her husband, David of Meriden, Connecticut; and her son Matt Boschert and his wife, Elizabeth (Liz) of Meriden, Connecticut; her sister’s husband Edwin Linn Norman; grandchildren: Linda’s children: Melissa and Ray Boulier, Rebecca and Ekene Avery, and Jessica Langley; Donna’s children: Andrea and Miguel Maldonaldo, Nicole and Josh Waldman; Matt’s children: Jacob Boschert and Ez Boschert; and great grandchildren: Jackson and Dylan Maldonaldo; Lily Waldman; and Elliot Avery.Marilyn (Peggy) was born in Baltimore and moved to Whitemarsh in her teens.  She attended Kenwood High School where she prepped for business. She met and married Ralph Boschert.  Shortly after getting married Peggy and Ralph moved to Phoenix, Arizona where Ralph attended college, and they started a family.  After Ralph completed college and started his career with the US Geological Survey they moved to Fremont, California before settling in Odessa, Texas in 1966-2021.  Peggy managed the household while Ralph worked in the field surveying and mapping the western USA.  During the summer Peggy and the kids would travel with Ralph.  This allowed the family to live for short periods of time and make friends in many of the western states.  These friendships lasted her lifetime.  Peggy moved in with Linda and David toward the end of the COVID pandemic. Peggy loved rock-and-roll, the theater, mysteries, and had a love hate relationship with board games.  She was the family go-to person for spelling and crossword puzzles.

Per Marilyn's wishes, her body was cremated, and no services were held.
