Marcia (Miller) Gionfrido, 76, of East Hartford, passed away July 15, 2023 with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Julius and Rita (Surber) Miller, April 10th, 1947, in Hartford, Connecticut.
Marcia is survived by her children: James and Meggan Evans, of Stafford; and Michael Gionfrido, of East Hartford, and her brother Alan Miller. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Brendan, Kaleigh, and Frank, her three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews that she just adored. She was predeceased by her brother Bill (William) Miller.
Marcia was a smart woman who loved to read and learn and would often share what she learned with others. She was not the best cook, but she loved to bake for everyone and to share recipes. During her battle with COPD and lung cancer, she often set her life goals around her family. She lived to see her grandchildren’s graduations, weddings and birth of her great-grandchildren.
Marcia had a big heart and loved her family and friends with all of it. As her health declined, she would live life through her family and friends, enjoying their phone calls, messages, and especially everyone’s photos. She loved a good party when she was able to get there.
A celebration of life for her family and friends will be held at a later time. Marcia’s wishes were that people make donations in support of Lung Disease research.
I will never forget all the great sweaters you gave me for Christmas gifts! RIP and say hi to my dad for me. See you on the other side.
