Linda E. Lanziero, 81, loving wife of Robert F. Lanziero, peacefully passed away on February 20, 2025, after a 20-year struggle with Alzheimer’s. Born on July 6, 1943, in New Haven, CT, to Russell and Annette DeSanto Brockway, Linda spent her childhood growing up around her father’s business, Brockway Scrap Metal on Middletown Ave, and was known to drive a dump truck or two.
Linda loved to travel, especially cruising at sea, and would be continually planning her next trip with friends and family, as well as wintering in her Florida home. She embraced any invitation for adventure and made friends easily.
Remodeling and decorating were her passions, and she and her husband made a livelihood of real estate rehabbing and investing. Linda also had a niche in creating gift baskets before online shopping became popular, and she loved antique hunting.
For a short time, she was co-owner and operator of Lanziero’s Family Restaurant in West Haven.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, her brother Russell, Jr., and her beloved grandson Christopher Tokarski. She is survived by her husband Robert, sisters Marcia (Edward) LaCroix and Joyce May, and her four children, Jeanette (Robert) Baigert, Linda Ulrich, Russell P. Lanziero, Robert William Lanziero, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
