Kimberlee Suzanne (Moore) Hodgkinson, 68, of New Hartford, died peacefully on Thursday April 3, 2025, with family by her side. Kim was born in Framingham, MA on April 26, 1956, daughter of the late Maria (Bassilakis) Graves and Henry Moore Jr. She grew up in Harwinton and graduated from Lewis S. Mills – class of 1974.
Born the youngest of five she refused to live in the shadows of her older brothers and sister making sure to make a lasting impression wherever she went. She rarely met a stranger that didn’t become a friend and it’s no surprise that she was voted class clown in school. She loved to laugh and did anything to get a rise out of people – regardless of how inappropriate it might be -- and she continued to have everyone laughing right up until her final days.
Kim took pride in all her work. She worked as a professional waitress and bartender most of her life, most recently she was known for her time at Fairview Farms Golf Course where she looked forward to seeing her “boys.” She was also known for her time as the owner of “The Hodgepodge”, also in Harwinton, which showcased her unique style. While her children were young, she was a dedicated and loving stay at home mother who always made holidays and birthdays so special. She had a wildly creative mind and loved to turn forgotten items into beautiful pieces of art. She worked tirelessly in her gardens and would always drop whatever she was doing to help her children, though it was her grandchildren that she truly lived for.
Kim leaves her children -- Emily Hodgkinson and her partner Chad Tierney of Avon, Eric Hodgkinson and his wife Jessica of New Hartford, and her stepdaughter Autumn Driscoll and her husband Eugene of Derby. Kim also leaves behind her devoted former husband Peter Hodgkinson of Charlestown, RI who remained by her side always. She leaves her siblings – Deborah Boman and her husband Barry of Hebron, Henry Moore of Goshen, David Moore and his wife Shelia of Palm Bay, FL and Jeffrey Moore and his wife Candy of Rocky Hill. Kim was predeceased by her stepsister Cheryl Chambers of North Stonington. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren – Levi & Blake Hodgkinson, Natalie, Nick & Nora George, Lila & Alex Tierney and Jack & Emma Driscoll. Additionally, she leaves behind countless members of her extended family and too many cherished friends to list.
Kim’s family will receive all who wish to remember her on Sunday May 18, 2025, from 1-4 pm at Fairview Farms Golf Course, 300 Hill Rd. Harwinton for her Celebration of Life.
