Kevin Chase, 65, of New Haven, CT passed away unexpectedly December 19, 2020 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his children by his side.
He was the proud father of Timothy (Wendy), Michele, and Thomas Chase. Kevin was born in New Haven on March 26, 1955. He was the son of the late Walter Chase and Carol Gildea Stratton (Noel). He was the brother to Donna Velsmid, Wayne Chase, and Gary (Rita) Chase. Grandfather of Lydia, Jacob, Faith, CJ, Hope, and Justus. Kevin is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother John and granddaughter Lavanya.
He was a very proud veteran of the US Army and spent his last few years giving back to his fellow veterans and the Disabled American Veterans Charity(DAV). Kevin enjoyed fishing, Yale Bulldog football games, and spending time with his family. He loved his cats and all the family dogs, spending time at Branford Point talking amongst all his fishing friends and listening to the sounds of the ocean year round.
Kevin will be honored on Saturday, October 30th @ 11AM at the State Veterans Cemetery at 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charity.
