August 25, 1949-March 6, 2025
Kenny passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 6, 2025 in Windsor, Connecticut. He’s survived by his sister, Marilyn Kaufman of Hamden Connecticut and his nephew Michael Kaufman of Albuquerque New Mexico. Ken grew up in Nashville Tennessee. During the 1970s he and his life partner, Diane Guthrie fell in love with the Colorado Rockies and moved to Boulder Colorado. Ken loved all animals. From early childhood, Kenny rescued and “hosted” a variety of animals…mice, snakes, baby alligators, possums and birds. For many years, he and Diane raised Old English Sheepdogs. Ken was blessed with a kind heart and an inventive entrepreneurial spirit. He invented an automatic dog washer and received a patent for it. Donations to any ASPCA or Peta in his memory would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of his life will be held this coming May in his beloved Colorado Rockies.
