Keith J. Petrulis, 36, of New Haven, Connecticut passed away Monday, August 7, 2023. Keith was born June 27, 1987, to the late Kathryn A. Petrulis and the late Leroy H. Jones.
Keith was a fierce advocate for the unhoused and was part of the creation of U-ACT (Unhoused Community Activist Team). Keith enjoyed helping others. He was a warm, loving soul who was a bright light for so many people. U-Act was more than just a team, they were Keith’s family.
Keith leaves behind several siblings; Terryl Daluz, Tyrese Henley, LaRoi Henley, Yvonne Na’kia Henley, and Corey Knapp; His Uncle and Aunt who helped raise him; Paul and Judy Petrulis, His Uncles; John and Peter Petrulis. His cousins that he grew up with like brothers; Daniel and Andrew Petrulis. His Grandmother; Jean Griffin Cobbs and his extended family Michael, Christy (deceased) Wally, Dennis, Abigail and Elizabeth Czekaj.
A celebration of Keith’s life will be held Friday, September 8, 2023, at 4 PM at Trinity Church on the Green, 230 Temple Street, New Haven, CT.
Keith is the brother I saw most frequently and 1 that also lived with our sister Kia at separate times (and hey they misspelled my last name's Knap {with 1 p})
I will always remember Kieth for his leadership in the New Haven community. His untimely passing is a great loss. My condolences go out to his friends and family, and to the organization, U-ACT, which Kieth spearheaded.
