Kathleen May, 63
Torrington – A celebration of life will be held in the Spring for Kathleen May, 63, who passed away on Saturday January 18th at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Ms. May was born in Torrington on February 9th, 1961 to Annette and Nicholas Caputi (both preceded her). She moved to Wallingford over 30 years ago to raise a family and become involved in the local community. Many will most remember Kathleen from her involvement in Connecticut youth swimming programs, coaching YMCA teams and teaching swim lessons, and even competing herself until 2021. She was also an active golfer, playing in several leagues across the state.
When she was not playing sports, Kathleen was spending time with friends and family, almost always including a walk, a hike, or a swim in a lake. She will be fondly remembered for her love of the outdoors, her optimistic outlook on life, and her drive to live every day to its fullest.
She leaves behind her son, Michael May and his wife Alexandra Kaye, her two brothers, Nicholas Caputi and Thomas Caputi, and countless friends and family members. She is preceded by her daughter, Emma May.
