Joyce Ann (Jackson) Purvis

Joyce Ann (Jackson) Purvis 71, transitioned to her heavenly home on April 8th 2025 at waters edge in Middletown Ct. 1 of 11 children She was born on December 28,1953 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Leroy and Maybell (pressley) Jackson. Joyce made her home in Portland, CT for 53 years where she was married to Milton Ray Purvis, whom preceded her in death in 2023. Joyce is survived by Two daughters Nisa Purvis of Middletown Ct and Christina Purvis of North Carolina, Three grandchildren T’Nayah Jackson and T’Nyra Jackson of Middletown and Nyla Purvis of East Hampton,   her Three great grand children, Ta’kai, Araiyah, and Benjamin Jackson who she loved dearly, Her three brothers David Jackson of Waterbury, Albert Jackson of East Hampton and Walter Jackson of Portland and a host of Nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her Eldest daughter Trina Jackson in 2022, along with several siblings over the years. Joyce will be deeply missed by those who knew her best, may her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
