John Hall Bayne, age 70 of Bridgeport, formerly of Fairfield, loving husband of Lori-Anne Bayne (Komosinski), passed away Saturday, Sept 30, 2023, in Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief battle with Ampullary cancer. John was born May 18, 1953, in Edinburgh, Scotland and is predeceased by his parents George Hall Bayne, Catherine Heath, and his brother George Bayne.
After high school, John graduated from trade school at Queenslie G. T. C. with a certificate in Men’s Hairdressing in October 1973. His love of music followed him into adulthood where he spent some years managing music acts and local bands. In his later years, he excelled at being a salesman of various specialties. John was a very social person, making friends wherever he went, and was happiest with a good drink in hand a good conversation. John was passionate about history, with a particular focus on WWII, as well as being quite proud and knowledgeable of his Scottish heritage. His retirement years were spent on lunch dates, weekend getaways, and museum trips with his wife.
In addition to his wife, Lori-Anne, John is survived by his children Claire Alexis Bayne, Craig Jonathan Bayne (Ella), stepdaughter Samantha-Josephine Komosinski, sister-in-law June Bayne, and several nieces and nephews.
