
Janice (Anderson) Diakonikolas (68) of Middletown, CT passed away on March 8, 2025. She was born August 9, 1956 and grew up in East Hartford, CT. She lived in Manchester for many years. Janice was the daughter of Everett B. Anderson and Wanda Jolivet. She worked for many years for the State of Connecticut Department of Education in Hartford. She left to become a full time Mom to her two children and then worked at the businesses she owned, Vernon Cleaners and Classic Cleaners. She was a wonderful Mom and “Gramma.” Janice was a beautiful, kind soul who was beloved by her family. She loved music, movies, spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed her peace and quiet. Janice was truly a bright light in life, she was loved by all who knew her for her kind heart and her beautiful spirit.
Janice is survived by her son Jerry Diakonikolas and his wife Julie of Meriden. Her daughter Lisa DeFrancesco and her husband John of Berkeley Heights, NJ. Janice also leaves behind three beautiful grandchildren who adored her James and Juliana DeFrancesco and Thalia Diakonikolas. She is also survived by her brother James Tomasek, sister-in-law Helen Pappas and brother-in-law Lambros Pappas and sister-in-law Mary Agapoglou. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Nick Diakonikolas and her brother-in-law Kostas Agapoglou.
