James J. Pandolfo Sr., 86, of Southington, CT., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born in New Britain, CT., on July 9, 1938, son of the late Joseph and Mary Pandolfo. He was predeceased by his wife, YiSoon (Betsy) Pandolfo.
James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 – 1963. He then owned and operated Pandolfo Garage of New Britain until his retirement. He loved his cigars and bourbon, playing golf, cards with his wife, sisters and brother, winters in Florida and loved to tinker. He also loved playing with his furry friends Lily, Jack, Radar and Dexter.
James leaves many who loved him and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his two sons, James Pandolfo, Jr., his wife Denise of Rocky Hill and Mark Pandolfo his wife Tina of Rocky Hill. He leaves his two grandsons Matthew Pandolfo and Ryan Pandolfo of Rocky Hill. He also leaves his sister, Tina Wishart of Plainville, CT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Sebastian (Subby) Pandolfo and his sister Lucy Pavano.
The family would like to thank all the caring staff and friends at The Orchards of Southington. He enjoyed the friends he made, playing rummikub, bingo (which he always seemed to win lots of nickels), pub night and so many other activities.
Funeral arrangement will be private and held at a later date
