James H. Gifford II, passed away on January 19, 2024 under Hospice care, with his mother and sister Debbie by his side, to be with God.
He was born in Akron OH, on January 17, 1963, moved to Clinton, Ct in 1966. Attended schools in Clinton at Morgan High School, and then Haddam Killingworth High School in his junior year.
He lived in Ft. Pierce, Fl for the last 10 yrs.
James was a great carpenter, his work was well known here in CT and in FL. He was a very adventurous person, and really enjoyed sailing.
He leaves behind, his mother Barbara A. White, Killingworth, Ct. Father James H. Gifford, Chaplin, Ct. Three sisters, Deborah, Donna, and Carolyn. Numerous nieces and nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
James also leaves behind his adult children, James, Laura, Crystal, and Steven, and 5 grandchildren.
A mass will be held March 2, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Lawrence Church in Killingworth, Ct.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Middlesex Hospice Care in Middletown, Ct.
Your sister Carolyn wants to say one more thing to you , you were a BRAVE man Jim right til the end a fighter !!!!! I love ❤️ you very much !!! And I am speaking also for my children!
My dear friend Jimmy, I will miss you, even though we had tough times, You were my first love after a bad divorce. We had adventures, sailing, driving to explore different parts of the usa. Our dog Diesel, he is up there now with you. I see you both out on the dock. You had taught me alot, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical, and roofing. You made beautiful tables,and remodeled homes,you had a gift from God.You will be well missed.. Kim
