Glen Wilson

Glen Wilson, age 68 of Southington, CT, passed away on March 7th, 2025, after a brief illness.

He was born in Cambridge, MA on December 16, 1956. He is reunited in peace with his parents George and M. Phyllis Wilson and brothers Gregory Wilson and Gary Wilson. His legacy lives on in his son Michael Wilson and his wife Kristina (Sisti) and granddaughters Aurora and Sistina, his son Marc Wilson and his wife Andrea (Haro) and grandson Myles. Glen is also survived by his sister-in-law Deanna L. (Devingo) Wilson; his sister Marybeth Noble and her husband John; and his sister Margaret Gundersen and her husband Carl. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Glen was a graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School (class of 1975) in Taunton MA and went on to earn a BS from Southern Connecticut State University (class of 1980).

Glen worked in Construction Management for most of his professional life and took pride in the projects he helped complete along with establishing his own company, Patriot Mechanical, which was featured in Entrepreneur magazine.

He was great father to his two sons, spending countless hours with them coaching at home, on the athletic fields and supporting their interests. His voice could always be heard cheering them on or expressing his opinion on a coaches play call or foul call from a referee. He loved golf, and his passion for the game sometimes resulted in a broken club or two but being out on the course with his boys or his friends was what he loved to do. A New England Patriots season ticket holder for 31 years, Glen loved attending games in any weather with his family and “tailgate buddies” who enjoyed it along with him each season. Wine making with his closest friends was another passion of Glen’s. His vintages, which he shared generously, earned awards many times. Besides his hobbies Glen enjoyed vacationing in the mountains of VT and NH and along the shorelines of Cape Cod and Newport.

Glen's generosity and loyalty that he showed to those he loved and cared for will never be forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his life on March 23rd, 2025, from 12-3pm at the Back Nine Tavern at Stanley Golf Course, 245 Hartford Rd, New Britain, CT 06053.
