Diane E. Mrowka 1958-2022

Diane E. Mrowka, 64, of Cromwell, CT peacefully passed on October 11th 2022 in her home, surrounded by loving family. Diane was born on August 12th, 1958 in Hartford CT and then grew her own family in Salem, CT for over twenty years. Her children were the love of her life, followed by gardening, music, finding the beauty in every moment and spending time witheveryone that she loved. Throughout her life she consistently dedicated herself to care giving and enjoyed being of service to others. Diane recently retired to her Riverview home in Cromwell CT, where she was able to enjoy her rescue dog that she lovingly referred to her as “lucky” Penny, and the serene energy that her home brought to her. Diane’s spirit was one of a kind; a giving and thoughtful soul that always found the magic of life.


Diane is predeceased by her parents Thomas MacDonald and Gertrude Anderson, in addition to her brother Thomas MacDonald. She is survived by her devoted children William Mrowka and partner Amy Delaney, Jennifer Mrowka and spouse Nicole Mrowka, and Amy Mrowka and partner Wesley Jenks. She also leaves behind her lifelong partner James Mrowka, as well as her brother and sister Richard and Leona MacDonald, her treasured grandchildren Indica and Parker Jenks, her nephews Thomas, Ryan, Michael, Jason, and Kevin MacDonald, and her cherished fur grandchildren Avery and Jackson.


In true spirit of Diane, she has requested a joyful gathering for a Celebration of Life in her honor. Her loved ones invite all those who would like to join her celebration at her home at 6 School Street, Cromwell CT 06416 on October 22nd 2022, at 2PM. In Lieu of flowers, please spread kindness and joy, and revel in the beauty of the little things in the way that Diane always had.

William, Jennifer and Amy, I offer my deeply felt condolences on the loss of your mom. I have so many great memories from our childhood when the families would get together all the time including the summer spent at our house in Windsor. I will always cherish the closeness and good times we shared.
