Denise Piscottano, 63 of Cromwell, CT passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 5, 2024. Born in Hartford, CT on August 14, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Nancy (D’ambrosio) Ribera of Newington, CT.
Denise was a graduate of Newington High School and Morse School of Business, and worked for many years in the medical field, as an office manager and later as a loving caregiver. Denise was a loving and devoted mother to her only daughter, Gianna Piscottano, who will miss her mom deeply.
Denise would light up the room with her laugh, and bubbly personality; she was truly the life of a party and always had a funny story to tell. She had a warm and caring nature to everyone that knew her. She loved the beach, family gatherings, and enjoyed spending time with her daughter Gianna; just watching a good movie together. Denise grew up in the disco era and therefore loved to dance when she was younger. She was also creative with her fashion; she could embellish a jacket to give it that one of a kind look, everyone would love, and wonder where she bought it.
Besides her daughter Gianna Piscottano, Denise is survived by sisters; Lisa Ruglio of Cromwell; Pamela Ribera and husband William, Christine Cassone and husband Pat, and Darlene Daly and husband James, all of Newington, CT. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews; Lorenzo Ruglio, Billy and Carly Ribera, Ashley and Matthew Cassone, and Justin and Michaela Daly; and longtime friend, Emma Crocitti, who was like a sister to Denise.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denise’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
