David S. Shepaum

10/12/1955 – 04/22/2025

It is with great sadness that the Shepaum Family announces that David (Shep) Stephen Shepaum 69 of Lebanon, CT passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025 after a very lengthy illness.

He was the son of the late George and Elsie Shepaum born on October 12, 1955, in Windham, CT.  He was preceded by his brothers George Jr and Michael.  He graduated from Windham High School where he played football and was part of "The Wrecking Crew" as he liked to call it.

Dave enjoyed bowling, played for the Willi Mac Men’s softball league, hunting, fishing, and for many years he coached youth football in Willimantic.  He was a life member of the Elk's Lodge #1311 and was on the Board of Governors for many years, a member of the Fin, Fur & Feather in Chaplin, and a member of the American Legion.

Dave was very proud of his family and is survived by his wife Lee, daughters Allison (Frankie) Colon, Heather (Joseph) Stone, and his son Adam (Amanda) Shepaum, his grandchildren Elizabeth, Alexis, Sarah, and Hayden Stone and Jenna, Madisyn, Kylie, and Elijah Colon, a great granddaughter Vyvianna Colon, nephews, nieces, many friends, and of course his dog Courtney.

David had asked that there be no funeral, but to have a celebration of his life with his immediate family members.  He wanted his friends to remember him when he was well and to not forget the good times they all had and keep telling stories of him.

Thanks to the staff at both Windham & Hartford Hospitals.  Special thanks to the Gardner Family and Michael Shepaum Jr who went above and beyond in everything that they have done.
