Charles C. Bradley, Sr. 1934-2021

Charles C. Bradley, Sr., 86, of Floral City, Florida, and Coventry, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2021, at St. Mary’s Nursing Home after a brief illness.


Charles was born in Hartford Hospital on November 27, 1934, and graduated from Manchester High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard. Charles was a 63-year member of IBEW Union 35, where he worked for 42 years as an electrician until his retirement. He was an active member of the Sphinx Omar Temple. He was also a 32nd Degree member of the Freemasons. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing, clamming, and hunting.


Charles is survived by his wife Betty J. Bradley, to whom he was married for 41 years; his daughter, Joanne Comerford and her husband Mark of Coventry, CT; son Charles C. Bradley, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Ashford, CT.; brothers, Albert Bradley of Coventry, CT; Lewis Bradley of Mansfield, CT; Glenn Bradley and his wife Ann of Coventry, CT; his sister-in-law, Sally Bradley (wife of his late brother Rev. Raymond H. Bradley, II); two stepdaughters, Darlene Krukar and her husband John; Pam Wright; and stepson David Linderson and his wife Janet. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, who he loved dearly.


There will be a “Celebration of Life” for family members. Charles requested that donations be made to the Shriner Hospitals for Children at www.https://donate.starlight.org, a cause that was near and dear to his heart.
