Bruce F. Crosetti

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our father, Bruce F Crosetti on December 19, 2024

Bruce was born June 19,1936 in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Ridgefield Park, NJ.  Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Myrtle Crosetti, his brother Frank, wife Marie, son Michael.

At the age of 18 he enlisted in the Army where he served proudly for 2 years in Austria.  Upon returning from overseas, he began working at Bendix Corporation in Teaneck, NJ where he met the love of his life, Marie (Terribile). They married in 1959 and were married 62 years before her passing in February 2022.

Bruce spent the majority of his career as a salesman for Crane Packing Company which brought Bruce and Marie to Cheshire, Connecticut in 1975, where they raised their 4 children Dayle, Janet, Joann and Michael.

Our Dad had so many diverse interests throughout his life including singing in a barbershop quartet in his younger years.  He played baseball and loved bowling with our Mom.  He enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips to Canada and camping with his family.  He was a coach for many years for Cheshire Jr. Football and Cheshire Little League Baseball.  His passion was cooking, golfing with his buddies from the Victorian House Restaurant, and he was a dedicated NY Yankee and Giants Fan.

Bruce was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle.  He had two siblings, his brother Frank Crosetti of Ashville, NC who passed in July and his sister, Gayle Crosetti of Charlotte, NC.

Bruce leaves behind his three daughters, Dayle Crosetti, Janet (Ron) Crosetti-Jackson and Joann (Jay) Monroe as well as 10 grandchildren, Krystal (Jeffrey) Meier, Olivia (Benner) Geurtsen, Hailey Monroe, Jenna, Becca and Ryan Jackson, Jennifer (Billy) Monroe, Cameron, Jaydis, Dakota Jackson and Joe (Kason) DeLuco, who was like a grandson to Bruce and Marie.  He also leaves 9 greatgrandchildren, Elliott, Joel, Mackenzie, Natalie, Reagan, Violet, James, Bella and Bash in addition to 6 nieces, Elaine, Paula, Laura, Allision, Jessica and Christa.

We would like to thank our family friend, Rhonda Sands and the entire staff at Franciscan Home Health & Hospice Care for their unwavering support and love for our dad as he embraced his last days.

In honor of our Dad, donations may be made in his name to the Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care at 267 Finch Ave Meriden, CT 06451 or www.franciscanhc.org

All Services will be private.

I have so very many fond memories of my brother, Bruce from my youth. Fishing in Canada was, and is one of my favorites. We would take a boat out and head up to the cove at Molly and Tony’s Twin Oaks Lodge, returning only to grab lunch and head back out until the dinner bell sounded! I miss those times!
