Anne Marie (Connors) Jacaruso, age 90 of Norwich, passed peacefully at Apple Rehab Center in Colchester on April 17, 2023, where she had been unconditionally loved and cared for over the past three years.
Anne was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Joseph and her daughter-in-law, Katherine.
After graduating from NFA in 1950, Anne attended and graduated from The Norwich Business School. She enjoyed a wonderful career with Joseph Connor and Sons and subsequently with VIP Catalog Showroom as a jewelry buyer. Anne eventually retired from VIP to help care for her first grandchild.
In her retirement years, Anne and Joe enjoyed attending annual reunions across the country with the 39th Bomb Group Association of which Joseph was a member. They looked forward to weekly dinner at Irene’s Family Restaurant or Caddy Shack Café at The Norwich Golf Club after attending Saturday evening Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Taftville.
Anne was a lifelong parishioner at The Cathedral of St. Patrick as well as a third-generation graduate of St. Patrick Cathedral School. The Cathedral held a special place in her heart, and she was involved in many activities at both the church and the school, which her children also attended.
Anne is survived by her three children: Michael, (Susan) of Waterford, CT, William, (Bo) of Essex, CT and Mary Beth Barber, (Scott) of Bozrah, CT.
She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren: Timothy Barber, (Lillian) of Boston, MA, Margaret, Grace and Madeline Jacaruso of Essex, CT and Ellen Wells, (Mitchell) of Moodus, CT.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at The Cathedral of St. Patrick on Saturday, May 13th at 12:30pm with burial immediately following at the Gardner-Bulkeley Cemetery, Cemetery Lane, Bozrah, CT.
