Allan M. Kabrick, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Born on November 5, 1929, in Rockville Connecticut, he was the first-born son to the late Maria (Czerwinski) and Max Kabrick. He is predeceased by his younger brother Roy Kabrick.

Allan lived in Rockville for most of his life. From an early age, he could be found helping at the family businesses, Kabrick’s Music Store and Marie’s Beauty Salon. Allan enjoyed learning his father’s trade of tuning pianos, carrying on his father’s legacy well into his eighties with passion and the integrity of a fine craftsman. Music surrounded him throughout his life; it was his greatest joy. He played the trombone and piano, taught music lessons, played in his father’s band, sang in Saint Bernard’s Church Choir and through the halls of Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. In his later years, he enjoyed listening to live music played by local musicians on Saturday evenings with his friends as well as listening to Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, jazz and big band swing CDs on his Bose radio.

Allan graduated from Rockville High School, Class of 1947. As a devoted and loving son, he cared for both his parents for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Rockville Elks Lodge 1359, serving as Chaplin for many years. Allan attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Ellington. He enjoyed hearing the Gospel message, fellowship and singing. He was employed by Big Y Supermarket in East Windsor and Tolland where he cherished the friendships he shared with his coworkers and took immense pride in serving customers. He enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and meeting new friends wherever he went.

He is survived by his niece Nanette "Nan" Kabrick of East Hartford and nephew R. Norman Kabrick, Jr. and his wife Esther and grandniece Julie Marie Castelo of San Diego, CA, nephew Lawrence Kabrick of Commerce Township MI and grandnieces Alyssa Margaret Kabrick, Brianna Marie Kabrick of Farmington Hills, MI and nephew Christopher Kabrick and his wife Kathy of Mount Pleasant SC, grandnephews Matthew Steven Kabrick of Atlanta, GA, and Ryan Christopher Kabrick of Huger, SC.
