Alberta was the cherished daughter of Willie Snipes and Rose Carter, both of whom preceded her in death. She embraced her roots and carried with her a deep love for New Haven, Connecticut, where she spent much of her life. Alberta's connection to her hometown was profound; the community there was more than just a place to live; it was a part of her identity.

Alberta is survived by her devoted brother Alton Snipes and four daughters Regina, Tasha, Patricia & Tanisha Snipes along with several grand & great grandchildren.
