Alan W. Waters, 67, of Meriden, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Friday, December 17, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1954 in Middletown, Connecticut; a son to Lee Hedlund.
Alan was easy-going, down to earth and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed loud Rock Music, painting, drawing, and being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his lifelong friend Thomas Ravizza. He spent many years working for himself as a mechanic and handyman.
In addition to his mother, Alan is survived by his lifelong love (common law wife) Nancy Stanley; their son, Nicholas Waters (Jennifer), Nancy's daughter Rachel Stanley and granddaughter Madison Murphy; his grandchildren Scarlett and Fox; His brother Ronald Hedlund (Dawn); all of Meriden, his nieces Nicole Sampias of Southington, and Kristen Hedlund of Meriden. He was predeceased by his step-son John M. Stanley.
No memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones of service plans to take place in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
